Art Club: 2nd & 3rd Grade Snowmen
The 2nd & 3rd grade students are such an awesome group of kids! Today, I told them to imagine they had been playing in the snow and fell down. When they opened their eyes, they saw 4 snowman looking down on them! ☃️⛄️☃️⛄️
What would this look like if you were laying on your back, looking up at the sky, and four snowmen were looking down on you? After drawing their snowmen in permanent marker, they switched to washable markers to add color. They added snowflakes to the sky in at least two different colors. Then, to create a watercolor sky, they painted over the snowflakes with water! It’s a fun way to do watercolor without actually using watercolor.
They are so creative and such a well behaved group of kids! They are bringing several of their projects home today. I hope their loved ones enjoy their work as much as I do.
A few of the kids did tell me it would be awesome for Santa to put some washable markers in their stocking this year😉… just in case any parents happen to run into the big guy and want to spread the word. 🎅🏼🎄❤️
